Hi, I would like to inform you that "1941" is included in this playlist: http://www.fuzz.com/fan/tibii/playlists/tibii_2008_May_09
For some months "Tragic" was my favorite of your profile songs, but this melody is even more beautiful and catchy. It was interesting to learn through some blogs the real life background of this.

'ANTI' is up, the new single from my much anticipated upcoming all acoustic album ' tales from a Scorpio's stinger ' . Let me know what you think. Jostel. I record, play, and produce everything you hear on my sight. I will be getting it mastered with completion of cd. Until then this is me, raw and true. Much love Jostel Hason p.s. nobody sounds like this, a new sound is HERE!
Well, hmmm, I already listened a few weeks ago, but now I can at long last identify a little of what I like about you and what bothers me, while something is still left for me to be found out.
What I like is that you have such a great feeling for harmonies and good melodies as well as song concepts. The playing also is very good - I cannot judge the technical part of it, not being a musician, but it surely is good in a sense that it supports the song ideas and sounds as if it is easy and relaxed, which to achieve surely is difficult and hard work.
What somehow bothers me is that it is so stuck in this retro kind of sound, like if you don't play your own life but rather play your parents' record collections. Nothing against your parents' record collection, I've got the same one ;-)
Ok, you name the obvious old-school vibe (as you call it) influences, and I do know that this sound is alive and well in the Bay Area, but I simply cannot believe that what you perform here represents your innermost feelings (this is NOT trying to be a psychological long-distance analysis though!). There must be something else, and if you manage to let that get into your songs, via the songwriting and the production-detail (the latter of course is difficult to display in a life performance, admittedly), this would give you the needed extra kick.
But hey, this was only the opinion of an anonymous punk, of which there are millions around, each with a different opinion.
